Fiction & Creative Strategy
Marco Lobo is a genre-bending author and illustrator whose work explores myth, memory, and identity across fiction and nonfiction. His novels—including The Witch Hunter’s Amulet and JINCAN—blend historical intrigue with symbolic depth. Beyond the page, Marco’s creative strategy spans curriculum design, performance-driven storytelling, and modular publishing. A graduate of Sophia University in Tokyo, he brings a global perspective to his work, rooted in his Portuguese heritage and Hong Kong birthplace.
Commentary & Nonfiction
In parallel to his fiction, Marco is also a commentator on China’s growth nexus and sociopolitical dynamics. His series The Two Chinas I’ve Known explores themes of economic disparity, youth unemployment, and cultural transformation. These insights are published through Substack and other platforms, forming a nonfiction corpus that complements his symbolic fiction.
